Secrets of The Millionaire Mind

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind – commonly referred to as the Millionaire Mind Book – is a New York Times best seller about changing mindsets and financial practices in order to increase income and accumulate wealth. T. Harv Eker, the author, is a self-made millionaire who went from broke living in a basement to a multi-millionaire in just two years, Harv claims the ability to change a person's “financial blueprint” in less than 5 minutes to allow him/her to “think like a rich person.”

The book claims to take a cut-to-the-chase and humorous approach at teaching new financial principles not widely known by the general public.

If you are looking to change your life and experience real practical growth and wealth, read T. Harv Eker’s book, “Secrets of the Millionaire Mind”.

Harv is the guy who was on the Today Show saying

“Give me five minutes and I can predict your financial future for the rest of your life!”
How can he make such a bold statement? Let's take a look at his premise from the book "Secrets of the Millionaire Mind"…
  • We each have a money blueprint that determines our level of financial success.
    • Rich people think differently than poor people
      • Your thinking pattern leads to the results that you are getting
        • Learn how to think – learn the right strategies, use them, and you can change your money blueprint
        • You can't solve a problem with the same mind that created it.

Says Harv, author of Secrets of the Millionaire Mind, “By ourselves, we can never see what's holding us back from reaching our full potential. Einstein said it best, you can't solve a problem with the same mind that created it’.”
According to Harv , each of us has a “money blueprint” that, much like a set of architectural plans, is behind all of our thinking. Our thoughts lead to our emotions, which lead to the actions we take, which give us the results we experience in life. This blueprint is ingrained into our subconscious.

          Thoughts > Emotions > Actions > Results

Harv views this blueprint kind of like the thermostat in a room. In the example he gives, if the thermostat is set for 72 degrees and the temperature drops, it kicks in and brings the temperature back up. If the temperature goes up over 72 degrees, it automatically shuts off until the temperature comes back down to 72 degrees.
If you consider that we're talking about a financial blueprint, it doesn't take long to figure out that he is saying we are already programmed (from early childhood) to succeed up to certain levels and if we go higher, we don't stay there – we somehow create a circumstance that brings us back down; and if we drop lower, we find a way to get back to our programmed level.

Rich People Think Differently Than the Poor - In 17 Critical Ways!
“Secrets of the Millionaire Mind” covers a series of Wealth Files: 17 ways rich people think and act differently from everyone else.
It also includes a multitude of principles. Although reading this list doesn't begin to compare to reading the book with all its examples and illustrations, here are just a few of the Wealth File headings, taken directly from the book:
          • Rich people believe "I create my life." Poor people believe, "Life happens to me."
            • Rich people play the money game to win. Poor people play the money game to not lose.
              • Rich people focus on opportunities. Poor people focus on obstacles.
                • Rich people are bigger than their problems. Poor people are smaller than their problems.
                  • Rich people act in spite of fear. Poor people let fear stop them.
                    • Rich people constantly learn and grow. Poor people think they already know.
                    • Reset Your Financial Thermostat
Throughout the book, you will see Harv mentioned his sold-out seminar, The Millionaire Mind Intensive, a 3-day weekend program designed to allow you to reset your financial thermostat.
I attended that program and I can tell you, you walk out of there a changed person.
This is not something where you walk away with a list of new ideas and a plan to get started.
No! -- and I don't want you to miss what I am saying here -- the change takes place right in the seminar. You get it in a profound way. When you leave, you are not the same person who walked through those doors three days ago.

                      High-Energy Breakthroughs to Financial Freedom
You'll experience high-energy breakthrough techniques and an accelerated learning process that leads to clarity on how you can overcome your negative, unproductive financial thinking and replace it with doable actions that lead to wealth.

This is an excellent book and Harv has helped thousands of people get over their bad ideas and bad habits about money with his book and training courses.

This book detailed Harv’s system to help people understand how to think like a millionaire.

A good summary of Harv’s research can be found on page 10,

“The vast majority of people simply do not have the internal capacity to create and hold on to large amounts of money and the increased challenges that go with more money and success. That, my friends, s the primary reason they don't have much money.”

Secrets of the Millionaire Mind: Mastering the Inner Game of Wealth

Harv explains that the surest way to stay poor is to continue acting like the poor, by complaining, not looking for opportunities, resenting the rich, not being a good receive, not continuously learning and not managing your money. Harv has great advice and these tips are essential to understand and change your thinking about money.

I have boiled down my summary of millionaire thinking ideas into this article, 10 Habits of the Prosperous.

Perhaps my favorite part of the book is what Harv says on page 119,

“Many poor people actually believe they are better people because they are poor. Somehow they believe they're more pious or good. … Some people just don't ever have the opportunity to have a lot of money. If you are one of the lucky people who do have that ability… Get really rich and then help people who didn't have the opportunity you did. That makes a lot more sense to me than being broke and helping no one. Of course there are people who will say, “Money will change me. If I get rich, I might turn into some kind of greedy jerk.” … Money will only make you more of what you already are. If you're mean, money will afford you the opportunity to be meaner. If you're kind, money will afford you the opportunity to be kinder. “

this book is not just another book on how to get rich, it as in every page practical easy to follow principles that helps you to eliminate self defeating thoughts its also give you a clear picture of how riches people think and stay a head of the game at all times with insights lessons like these success is inevitable.

I really enjoyed Secrets of the Millionaire Mind by T. Harv. Eker because its not just focused becoming rich its main focus is how to grow and become a better person and as a result of that growth every other area in your life will bare the fruits overall this book is a must have that you need in your arsenal of powerful resource once you pick it up your not going to want to put it down believe me I know.
